Obituary of Sadie Bennett Seabolt

Sadie Bennett Seabolt, 94, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ronald Seabolt; parents, Elmer David Foutz & Susie Giles Foutz; sisters, Elsie F. Stowers, Virginia F. Pizzati & Lucille F. Spradlin.

Sadie was retired from the Bedford Weaving Mill after 44 years of service.  She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and volunteered for the Bedford Humane Society. 

Surviving are her son, David Wayne Seabolt; sister, Rachael F. Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Chappell and numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Danny Holdren officiating.  Interment will follow in Thaxton Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to service time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bedford Humane Society, 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, Bedford, VA, 24523.
