Obituary of Wanda Gay Amos Bowyer

Wanda Gay Amos Bowyer, 56, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Bowyer; mother, Brenda Amos Arrington & brother, Stacy Arrington.

Wanda worked for Piedmont Label/Smyth for 35 years.  She loved animals, cooking and going to the beach. 

Surviving are her husband, Blake Bowyer; son, Joshua Bowyer (Erynn); her grandson who was her pride and joy, Mason Bowyer; sister, Denise Shifflett (William); step-brother, Bernie Arrington (Julie); step-sister, Lisa Vaughan; step-father, Bernard Wayne Arrington; sister-in-law, Deborah Bennett (Troy); her canine companion, Miss Adelaide Grace; several nieces, nephews & many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Nicopolis United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  For those who wish to make a donation in lieu of sending flowers, please consider Nicopolis United Methodist Church, c/o Lindsey Davenport, Treasurer, 1113 Davenport Road, Bedford, VA 24523.
