Obituary of James Bruce Bays

James Bruce Bays, 92, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hill Goodman Bays & Elizabeth Craghead Bays; brother, Robert Goodman Bays.  J.B. retired from Rubatex after over 40 years of service. After retirement, he did farming for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Hughes Bays; sons, Bruce Bays (Susan) & Michael Bays; grandchildren, Daniel Bays, Hannah Elder (Jake) & Bobby Bays; great-grandchildren, Greyson & Aislyn Bays & Arya Elder; brother, Donald Bays (Sandy) & sister, Edrie Bays.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Murphy, Pastor J.R. Graybill & Sam Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Friday.
