Obituary of Edna Gay Heptinstall Dickerson

Edna Gay Heptinstall Dickerson 68 of Huddleston, VA  passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  She was born on Sunday, January 10, 1954 and was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Edna Love Heptinstall.  Edna Gay was also, predeceased by her husband, Dave Dickerson.

She graduated from SRHS and BCM Hospital School of Nursing.  Making a career of nursing, she spent many years at the Lynchburg Training School where she cared for and loved each of her residents. 

She is survived by her loving sister Myra and husband Kermit Russell; nephew, Ken Quarles; niece, Joanna and husband, Casey Laizure: great niece, Julia, and great nephew, Joshua, and many loving cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank all who cared for her and a special thank you to Freddy and Nanci Heptinstall for their constant care and support.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on  Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Mentow Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rick Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Mentow Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service.
