Obituary of Daniel Keith Myers

Daniel (Danny) Keith Myers, 72, of Moneta, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born in Bedford, Va., on December 21, 1949 to the late Joseph Grady Myers and Effie Alise Leffel Myers. 

Danny was a lifelong member of Radford Baptist Church & loved his Lord and Savior.  He was a Vietnam War Veteran & owner operator of SML Crane Service.  Danny enjoyed sitting on the front porch waving at all the traffic going by, motorcycle riding & boating.  He also enjoyed a nice bonfire at the Wagon Wheel with all his very special friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Anita Williamson Myers; two step children whom he loved as his own, Emily Rama & husband, David & Jaimee Roach & husband, Adam; six grandchildren, Gavin, Lincoln, Merrin, Dani, Remi & Lani; siblings, Marshal Myers & wife, Hazel, Jimmie Myers & wife, Lori, Dottie Jean Myers Nance, Pat Myers Sink Bryan & husband, Harold; all his FAVORITE nieces & nephews, Julie Nance Bays & husband, Clyde, Cindy Nance Epperly & husband, Eddie, Jeanette Nance Baylor, Chris Nance, Carla Sink Brown & husband, Terry, Carey Sink & wife, Lindsay, Glenn Padgett, John Padgett & wife,  Paula, Jimmy Padgett & wife, Debra, Brian Myers & wife, Kristin, Brad Myers & wife, Hattie, Steve Myers & wife, Susan, Gloria White & husband, Barry, Lisa Myers Pollard & husband, Mike & numerous great nieces & nephews.

A Service Celebrating Danny’s life will be held at Radford Baptist Church (Radford Church Rd., Moneta) on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Karl Hofheinz officiating.  Interment will follow at the Leffel/Myers Family Cemetery (Airport Road, Moneta).  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
