Obituary of David Edison Zimmerman

David Edison Zimmerman, 73, of Huddleston, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Earl Zimmerman & Myrtle Updike Zimmerman; daughter, Rose Haberl & granddaughter, Dacoda McCourt.

 

Dave was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening & watching the birds.  He was a prankster who loved to tell jokes & stories.  He was a mechanic & could fix anything.  He would help everybody he could.  As a testament to that he worked on the rescue squad giving back to his community.

 

Dave was a devoted husband & father.  He loved spending time with his family. 

 

Surviving are his wife, Emma Zimmerman; children, David Zimmerman, Tommy Haberl, Michelle McCourt & Angela Worley; grandchildren, Jared Zimmerman, Seth Zimmerman, Cody Haberl, Autumn Haberl, Hunter Clay, Joshua McCourt, Lucas McCourt, Rececca Maglosky, Rodney Waller, Jr., Gabrielle Waller, Alexis Ayers, Shane Ayers & Blake Campbell; nine great grandchildren.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
