Melvin Luther Hill, 69 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Avante at Roanoke Health Care Center. He was born on Saturday, December 21, 1940 in Alleghany Co., a son of the late Homer Burton Hill and Thelma Lee Wilmer Hill. Surviving are his aunts, Maxine Wilmer Hepler of Covington; Alma Wilmer Freedman of Hartwell, GA, as well as numerous cousins. The family would like to give special thanks to Avante at Roanoke Health Care Center staff as well as Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.
