Obituary of Anthony Dale Tramell

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our Beautiful Father, Anthony “Tony” Tramell, hopped on a raindrop and rode into the pearly gates of Heaven to meet Jesus face to face on Saturday, January 7, 2023.  He was welcomed into his heavenly home by his father, Fuller “Johnny” Tramell; mother, Leatrice Davis Tramell; sister, Martha Moorefield; granddaughter, Taylor Tramell; grandsons, Cameron Tramell, Jr. & Caleb Tramell & three special angels.

He left to continue the legacy of his love “His King” & “Papa’s boy”, his faithful furry companion, Toby; daughter, April Tramell; son, Cameron Tramell, Sr.; his special friend & saving grace during his cancer times, Greg Allen; his adopted daughter in his heart, Angie Mayberry; stepson, Marcus Stetson (Shanna); granddaughter, Lilia Frutiger (Jesse); grandsons, Anthony Coles (Tramell) & Christopher Berger (Tramell); step-granddaughter, Savannah Stetson; nephew, Dudley Moorefield; uncle, Gary Davis; his first wife & mother of his children, Pamela Mayberry; very special friends, John Hancock, Jean Rigney, Waylon Ferguson, Donna Steppe, Mike & Joyce Johnson, Mark & Debbie Dalton, Slick & Ava Huffman & Jordan & Connie Parker; all of his Saturday morning card playing buddy’s; all of his friends at the Moose Lodge (Altavista).  And to all the others that may not have been named that was my father’s friend ‘know you are loved”.  He was married to Deborah Stetson Tramell.

One of Tony’s biggest accomplishments was being a father.  He was always there for his children through their ups and downs and taught them to love without reservation from the very reflection of which he loved.  His fierce loving spirit was truly magnificent.  If he even just knew “of” you, he loved you and he considered you a friend.    Please join us at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church (Evington) to celebrate the life of our dear father and friend. Military Honors will be offered by American Legion Post 36 & Gretna Post 232.

“A Father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light whose love shows us the way.”
