Obituary of Carolyn Goodman Pruett

Carolyn Goodman Pruett, 80 of Moneta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center surrounded by her family.  She was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1942 in Bristol, TN, a daughter of the late William Lee Goodman and Savanah Clark Goodman.  

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lynn Pruett; her children, Christopher Pruett (Jennifer) of Vero Beach, FL; Todd Pruett (Kim) of Bristol, VA; Alyson Dudley (Darrell) of Bedford; grandchildren, Brandon Pruett, Lauren Calloway, Meghan Pruett, Mary Catherine Dudley, John "Jed" Dudley, Turner Pruett; great grandchildren, Ellie Ann Calloway, Jameson Calloway; a sister, Doris Crabtree as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was an avid gardener and loved spending time on the farm with her animals.  She loved her work and the special relationships she built with her associates and clients at Berkshire Hathaway where she was a realtor. She was also an active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and loved her church family. 

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider making a donation to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 13586 S. Old Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121.  

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Scott Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Bristol, VA at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 8.
