Obituary of Jesse James Blankenship, Sr.

Jesse James Blankenship, Sr., 80 of  Huddleston, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on Monday, August 3, 1942  in Bedford County, a son of the late Thomas Jefferson Blankenship  and Ollie Belle Mitchell Blankenship.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Virginia Alice Hodges Blankenship, his son, Jesse James Blankenship, Jr., his daughter, Linda Durwin and four half-brothers.

Jessie was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors, especially tending his garden. He had a special love for his family and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a member of Palestine Baptist Church.  

He is survived by his daughter, Toni B. Robertson & husband, Michael as well as ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  

As per his wishes, Jesse will be cremated and no services held.  His cremains will be interred in the family plot at Morgans Baptist Church.
