Obituary of Brenda Lee Ferguson Howard

Brenda Lee Ferguson Howard, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her father, Boyd Clay Ferguson; mother, Dorothy Goad Ferguson Lemon; husband, Samuel Crawford Howard; daughter, Selinda Leigh Tryon; brothers, Billy Grey Ferguson, Danny Reid Ferguson & Winferd Arnold Ferguson; sister-in-law, Shirley Ferguson.

Brenda graduated from Huddleston High School & was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.  Brenda loved to collect glass slippers.

She is survived by her son, Scott Crawford Howard, Sr.; grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Anderson, Scott Crawford Howard, Jr. & Cullen Michael Jennings; sister, Barbara Jean Mayhew & husband, Leonard; special friend, James Peters; numerous nieces & nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Updike Funeral Home Chapel, Bedford, with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 pm prior to the service.
