Marshall Gilmer Myers, 91 of Moneta, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born on Sunday, January 10, 1932, a son of the late Joseph Grady Myers and Effie Leffel Myers. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Earl Myers, Danny Myers, Ray Myers and sisters, Doris Padgett, Charlotte Pagans.

He was surveyor for Bedford County and then retired from Universal Electric in Altavista as a department/materials manager and was a lifelong member of Radford Baptist Church. Marshall enjoyed fishing, golfing, Nascar, farming, woodworking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Hazel Frances Walker Myers; his daughter, Lisa Pollard & husband, Michael; his brother, Jimmy Myers & wife, Lori; his sisters, Dottie Jean Nance, Pat Myers Sink Bryan & husband, Harold; his grandchildren, Jessica Holbrook & husband, Matt, Hannah Pollard & husband, Adam Dugger, Caleb Pollard & fiancé, Thalia Rogers; his great-grandchildren, Mattie Holbrook, Walker Green, Laila Holbrook, Myers Holbrook as well as numerous nieces, nephews & other family members. A special thanks to his Centra Hospice Nurses, Trinda & Sissy.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Radford Baptist Church and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Karl Hofheinz & Rev. Danny Holdren officiating. Interment will follow in Myers Family Cemetery.
