Obituary of Edward "Tony" Lewis Overstreet

Edward “Tony” Lewis Overstreet, 66, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.  He was born on Friday, February 22, 1957, a son of the late Wesley Gilliam Overstreet & Virgie Jenkins Overstreet.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, April Dawn Overstreet; granddaughter, Hailey Wilson; brothers, Johnny & Jimmy Overstreet; sister, Mary Hensley.

Tony worked for the National Park Service as a maintenance worker serving 22 years.  He loved the outdoors, loved to mow, weed eat, cut firewood and work in his garden.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Overstreet; son, Tony Wilson; grandchildren, Adrianna, Rebekah, Myiah, Noah, Kevin, Devin & Darren; siblings, Sandra Butler, Betty Oliveira, Jesse Overstreet, Jackie Overstreet & Buster Overstreet; numerous nieces, nephews & other family members.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Harry Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in Peaks Church Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
