Fredrick Jackson "Fred" Carter, 63 of Thaxton, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 peacefully at his home. He was born on Friday, March 18, 1960 a son of the late Robert Randolph Carter and Sarah Burkes Carter. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Valinda Gail Phillips Carter, his brother, Robert O. Carter and sister, Effie Louise Carter.
He is survived by his sons, Fredrick Dwayne Carter, Robert Lee Carter; granddaughter, Haley Michelle "Brat" Carter; grandson, Ayden Dwayne Carter and numerous other grandchildren.
No services are planned and arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
