Obituary of Thelma Martin Perdue
The family of Thelma Perdue wishes to publicly thank God Our Father for sharing with us our Mother, Thelma Christine Martin Perdue.
On Saturday, April 29th Thelma, 88 of Moneta left her earthly home and family to join her husband, John Jacob Perdue in their eternal home where they will reign together with their Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition to her husband, Thelma gave back to her Lord those loved ones that were given to her to share in this life, her father and mother, William Penn Martin and Ruby Harris Martin, her brothers, William Roy Martin and Roger Lee Martin and brother-in-law, Warren Ray Bobbitt.
Thelma was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her life always reflected her love for her family, friends, and people in need.
Through faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord, she will await those that will always love and miss her while here, her three sons, Jackie Henry Perdue, Jerry Wayne Perdue, and Danny Lee Perdue; one daughter, Sandra Perdue Krantz (Timothy Davis); one grandson, Joshua David Perdue (her pride and joy) all of Moneta; one great grandson, Jace Cameron Perdue of Ruckersville, Virginia.
She also leaves behind one sister, Betty Martin Bobbitt (Moneta); one brother, Calvin Eugene Martin (Gretna), three sisters-in-law, Jane Martin (Bedford), Martha Perdue (Franklin County), Bonnie Jean Perdue (Vinton), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, May 5th at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Karl Hofheinz officiating. Burial to follow at Radford Baptist Church Cemetery, Moneta.
Mama loved her flowers, so if you would like to order flowers, please consider a graveside arrangement.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Danner and his team at Promedica Hospice, and the nurses in palliative care, a few other nurses who assisted in her care, and the doctors at Lewis-Gale Hospital. A special thanks to her hospice nurse, Stacy whom she dearly loved and looked forward to seeing each week.
