Obituary of Billy Lee Bryant, Sr.

Billy Lee Bryant, Sr., 82, of Moneta, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.  He was born on Saturday, November 2, 1940, a son of the late James Bryant & Ellie Mae Pond Bryant.  He is also preceded in death by his son, Billy Lee Bryant, Jr. & brother, James E. Bryant.

Billy was a Kroger employee for 43 years.  He was a devoted deacon of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Saul Bryant; grandsons, Zachary & Tyler Bryant; great-grandsons, Trevor & Silas Bryant; brothers, Thomas Bryant (Rachel), Michael Bryant (Sandra) & Steven Bryant (Lisa) as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dooley officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
