Obituary of Robert Lee McKinney

Robert Lee McKinney, 87 of Bedford, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 in Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born April 7, 1936 in Bedford, a son of the late John Edward McKinney and Nannie Mae Dooley McKinney.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Overstreet McKinney, a daughter-in-law, Tammy McKinney, a grandson, Matthew Beach, a brother, Willie McKinney and a sister, Dorothy M. Overstreet.  

He was retired from Frank Chervan with forty-five years service.

He is survived by a son, Robert McKinney, Jr.; his daughters, Carol McKinney Farish (Dan), Teresa McKinney Beach (Doug), Donna McKinney Saunders, Rhonda McKinney; a sister, Helen M. Cottrell; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Friday, June 9 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
