Obituary of Judith "Judi" Frances Reinke Jackson
Judith "Judi" Reinke Jackson, 84 of Bedford, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Wednesday, May 24, 1939 in New York, a daughter of the late Albert Reinke and Patricia Lozo Reinke. She was also preceded in death by her son, Theodore Albert Jackson.
Judi was a quilter and also acted in theatre and made costumes for the productions. She was a volunteer with the National D-Day Memorial and mended their flags.
She is survived by her husband, William Bruce Jackson, Sr.; her daughters, Stephanie Brewer (Michael), Theresee DeMoy (Jeffery); her son, William B. Jackson, Jr. (Deborah); a grandson, William Brewer; a great grandson, Liam Brewer; her brothers, Tom Reinke (Donna), Michael Reinke; her sister, Kathy Vandewal (Jim), as well as several nieces, nephews & cousins.
The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider National D-Day Memorial, P. O. Box 77, Bedford, VA 24523.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until service time at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
