Obituary of Stella Tuck Brown

Stella Tuck Brown of Bedford, beloved daughter of the late Edgar Tuck and Myrtle Mayhew Tuck passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her home at Spring Oak - The Elks Home where she had lived for the last 6 years.  She was surrounded by her daughter, Debbie and a very special cousin, Barbara Fielder who has been there for her and her family for many years through many trials and was there supporting her until the end.

She was born August 9, 1940 and is now reunited with her husband, James Brown, her son, James Brown, Jr. as well as her father, mother and all of the other relatives who have gone on before her.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie McCulley (Mark) and her daughter-in-law, Terry Brown; her grandchildren, Mike Brown, Cassie Brush (Ryan), JoAnna Wiseman (Aaron), Kecia Purser (David), Ashley King (Tim) and Sophie McCulley; her great grandchildren, Alysa Albert, Penny Brown, Beckett Purser, Jenna Wiseman, Piper Brush, Ryan Heinsohn,  Sebastian Brush, Noah Heinsohn and Gemma Purser.

Special thanks to the staff and neighbors at Spring Oak- The Elks for their love and support over the time our mom lived there.  They were very special to her, especially a very special friend, Jerry Hudson.   They were best friends and inseparable. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Mt. Olivet Southern Baptist Church with Rev. J. R. Graybill officiating.  Interment in the Tuck Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday evening at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
