Obituary of Matthew Nelson Proctor

Matthew Nelson Proctor, 46, of Moneta, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Lawrence Proctor; fiancé, Andrea Denise Adkins & brother, Tony Proctor.  He was employed as a construction work for a local saw mill.

Matt was a spider man fan & a collector of Star Wars memorabilia. He was also an avid Tarheels & Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his mom, Patricia Joy Motley; daughters, Kala Thaxton (Sam), Camryn Proctor & Daylan Proctor; grandchildren, Augusta & Everett Thaxton & a granddaughter on the way; siblings, Tammy Proctor, Allison Proctor, Shantae Proctor, Darby Proctor, Melissa Proctor, Bruce Proctor, Michael Proctor & David Proctor; numerous nieces, nephews & other family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Chaplain Michael Smith officiating.
