Andrea Denise Adkins, 43, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Adkins; step-father, Robert W. McGinnis; fiancé, Matthew Proctor; maternal grandparents, Britt & Lois Jackson & paternal grandparents, Estil & Thelma Adkins.

Andrea devoted several years of her life nursing others as an LPN. She loved making jewelry and many other crafts and loved to accessorize. She loved the ocean and music. Andrea loved singing along as loud as she could. She idolized Marilyn Monroe. She liked being silly just to get you smiling. Andrea loved gardening and made the best macaroni salad. She lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment around her.

Left to cherish memories of Andrea are her mother, Wanda Kay McGinnis; daughter, Raven Nicole Adkins; son, Marshall Wayne Shelton; grandsons, Avian Boyd Hash & Jason Maverick McClure; step-brother, Patrick McGinnis; numerous aunts, uncles, special cousins and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford.
