Margaret Shrewsbury Cundiff, 91 of Bedford, VA passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on Thursday, October 17, 1918 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Nathan Shrewsbury and Annie Huddleston Shrewsbury. She was a retired employee of Southern Flavoring and was a member of the VFW & DAV Auxilliary. Surviving is her husband, Doyle Adrain Cundiff; two sons, Jerry A. Cundiff of Lynchburg; Barry Overstreet of Sedley; a daughter, Joyce A. Janney of Roanoke; a brother, Hubert Shrewsbury of Bedford; a sister, Agnes Huddleston of Vinton; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Virginia Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Moon and Rev. Floyd Gross officiating. Friends may call after 12 noon and the family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
