Jeanette Gail Tomlinson Wilcher, 76 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Saturday, August 31, 1946, a daughter of the late Astor Theodore Tomlinson and Mary Ellen Tanner. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Steve Tomlinson and Barry Tomlinson; her sisters, Ann T. Hale and Patsy Tomlinson. She was a retired nurse at Virginia Baptist Hospital and a member of Thaxton Baptist Church where she sang in the Adult Choir and helped with the children's choir. She was a member of the Appalachian Trail Club.

She is survived by her husband, David Glenn Wilcher; sons, John Wilcher, Robert Wilcher and Michael Wilcher; her grandson Scott Wilcher and granddaughter, May Wilcher; and a sister, Mona T. Kanode.

There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
