Obituary of Brenda Joyce Snead Krantz

Brenda Joyce Snead Krantz, 80, of Huddleston, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born on Monday, May 17, 1943 in Bedford Co. to the late Gilbert Snead & Louise Cadd Snead.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Krantz; three brothers; three sisters; granddaughter, Amanda Caldwell Hutcherson & great-grandson, Ethan Mitchell. 

Brenda retired from Bedford Weaving Mill with 50 years of service.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie McCall (Ricky) & Susan Caldwell (W.D.); son, Chad Krantz (Charlotte); grandchildren, Ricky Lee McCall, Geoffrey McCall (Crystal), Heather McCall Booth (Carl), Megan Caldwell Mitchell (Jordan), Timmothy Krantz & Tara Krantz (Seth), Michael Roper; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucy Smith (Robert), Nancy Compton (Bob), Jane Beal (Roger) & Catherine Calloway.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
