Obituary of Jerry Lee Mitchell

Jerry Lee Mitchell, 69 of Huddleston passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, June 27, 1954 in Virginia, a son of the late William M. Mitchell & Vena Blankenship Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jason Overstreet; brothers-In- law, Ralph Johnson, Melvin J. Grishaw.

He retired from Klopman Mills. Jerry also enjoyed hunting, gardening and farming.

He is survived by brothers, William T. Mitchell (Pasty), Jackie Ray Mitchell (Darlene), Larry D. Mitchell (Brenda); sisters, Carolyn Johnson, Brenda Grishaw, Gail Dawson (Larry), Vickie Overstreet (Sonny); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

FuneraL services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Jackie Carver Officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday evening at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
