Obituary of Russell Blair Talton, Jr.

Russell Blair Talton, Jr., 66 of  Bedford, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He was born on Saturday, February 9, 1957, a son of the late Russell Blair Talton, Sr. and Lois Jane Witt Talton.  He was also preceded in death by his uncles, Charles G. Witt, Ed Edwards, Jesse Manche, Kenneth Megginson and his aunts, Marie Witt & Mary Witt.  

He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and for the last 5 years had worked at Roadside Sporting Goods.  He was a gun enthusiast and was a member of the Roanoke Rifle & Revolver Club.   

He is survived by his brother, George F. Talton (Cindy); his uncle, Ollie F. Witt; his aunts, Nancy Edwards, Joyce Megginson &, Lula Manche.  

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Blair's name.  

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  There is no visitation.
