Joseph Edward Harper, 85 of Moneta, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Saturday, January 29, 1938, he was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Edward Harper and mother, Alberta Coiner Potter.
He was a self-employed plumber, loved race cars, and was a very good mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Opal C. Harper; daughter, Tina Byrd; granddaughter, Amanda Byrd.
Due to the family dynamics, no services will be held at this time.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
