Albert F. Hutson, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 30th, 2023.  Albert was born September 14, 1947 to Albert F. Hutson, Sr. and Ann Thomas Hutson. Albert was the oldest of 4 children and was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Ann Hutson Clark and her husband, Glenn R Clark. 

Albert leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Amy Hutson Laughlin; his granddaughter, Brooke D. Laughlin; his brothers, Tom (Virginia) Hutson, Scott (Renee) Hutson; nieces, Cynthia Clark Laughlin, Alicia R Clark and his nephew, Ian Thomas Hutson.  He also leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Judith Hutson.

Albert was a proud U. S. Navy veteran, was a faithful husband and loving father and grandfather. He had a very peaceful heart and spirit who was always there for family and friends in their time of need. Al enjoyed driving, watching baseball and eating Reese’s peanut butter cups. He was extremely proud of his granddaughter, Brooke and all of her accomplishments including being a senior in college at University of Lynchburg at only 20 years of age. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 PM on Thursday November 2, 2023 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and other times at his daughter Amy’s house in Bedford. 

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
