Thomas Bailey "Buck" Patterson, 63 of Bedford, VA passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on Thursday, March 31, 1960 in Martinsville, VA, a son of David Patterson and Shelby Stewart Patterson. He was retired from Bedford County Parks & Recreation with 20 years of service. He was graduate of Virginia Tech. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Thaxton; a member of Bedford Moose Lodge # 1897; a past member of Bedford Volunteer Fire Department and in the Alpha Gamma Rho Faternity.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Debora Kay Settles Patterson of Bedford; son, Bryan Patterson & wife, Bethany and mother-in-law, Linda Overstreet.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Epworth United Methodist Church; PO Box 25, Thaxton, VA. 24174.
