I was saddened to see Gwen’s obit. We worked together in the Bedford Genealogical Society in their cemetery work earlier in the 2000s. There is not a week that goes by that I don’t use her work in recording the exact locations of Bedford County cemeteries. I would recognize her writing anywhere. Her dedication to accuracy will remain a gift to Bedford history as people search for the location of the graves of loved ones. What a legacy she has left. May we always be grateful to the people before us that took the time to write down our history. Rest in peace. Carole Lacy

Gwen was my Aunt on my dad’s side of the family and her and my uncle Leonard were there for me and my brother and our children when we needed them…. They loved us like we were their own children and we loved them as an extra set of special parents!! I love you so much Aunt Gwen and I hope you and Uncle Leonard are together forever and are happy again and you all have the peace you deserve in both of y’all’s lives!! You both are missed more than you will ever know!! Fly high and watch over us!!
