Obituary of Jacqueline Green Creasy
Jacqueline Green Creasy, age 91 of Altavista, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Autumn Care of Altavista.
She was born September 4, 1932 in Atlanta, GA a daughter of the late Ernest Green and Veda Ellison Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Creasy; her daughter, Kathy Burnette, her son, Raymond Michael Creasy and her sisters, Virginia Gerald, Betty Jo Poe and Becky Mitchell.
She was retired from Klopman Mills where she was a training supervisor.
She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Anyone that knew Jackie loved her and felt blessed to know such a fine lady and always was greeted with a beautiful smile. She was known as a second mom or Granny Creasy to many. She dedicated her life to her church. She taught 4 generations as a certified teacher for Sunday School, along with Children’s Church, Director of Vacation Bible School, Youth leader and Senior Ministry that included serving delicious meals and playing various games. She was always thinking of others to bring sunshine into their lives. In earlier years she volunteered her time to residents at Autumn Care even walking there at times. She was a Cub Scout leader for several years and loved camping and doing crafts.
Jackie, we will hold you in our hearts until we hold you in heaven. Your life was truly a blessing, your memory will always be a treasure as we remember your beautiful life. Heaven is shining brighter since you arrived.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ellen Creasy of Gretna; an adopted son, Kevin Creasy of Gretna; her good friend, bonus daughter and caretaker, Claudette Carter (Doug) of Evington; two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Altavista Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Hill officiating.
