Thomas Walter Plymale, 86 of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Campbell Rest Home. He was born on Saturday, December 6, 1924 in Bedford Co., a son of the late William B. Plymale and Virginia Johnson Plymale. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Collins. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and also of the University of West Virginia. He was a retired employee of Union Carbide as a Civil Engineer and was a member of Staunton Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Irene Mitchell Plymale; a son, Roger Plymale of Winfield, WV; a daughter, Debra K. Plymale of Huddleston; four brothers, Raymond Plymale, Howard Plymale, Herbert Plymale all of Moneta, Kenneth Plymale of Huddleston; four sisters, Florence Boyd of Cincinnati, OH, Elizabeth Welch of Newport News, Brenda Witt of Bedford, Joyce Beckner of Vinton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Staunton Baptist Church with Rev. John Realer officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
