Obituary of Joan Reynolds Marcus

Joan R. Marcus, of Bedford, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 78.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Christina Reynolds; and husband Max Marcus Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Marcus; Tonya Bolt and husband Tony; Dawn Wells and husband Albert; grandchildren, Nicole Marcus, Cody Bolt, Alisha Shropshire; great-grandchild, Axel Bolt; sisters, Coursie Grouchey and husband Bob, Evelyn Power and husband Leonard, Rainey Almond and husband Reggie (deceased), June Craig and husband Mike; and brother, Chris Reynolds and wife Debra; honorary family member, Steve Hurt.

Joan, along with her husband Max, were owners and operators of the Sears franchise in Bedford. She spent 15 years working at J & L Electronics. Joan prided herself on being a caretaker for anyone in need. She loved spending time in the mountains of North Carolina and Peaks of Otter.

The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
