Hazel Payne Mitchell, 83 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Berkshire Health & Rehab. She was born on May 4, 1941 and lived most of her life in Bedford. She was a daughter of the late Robert Payne and Hester Jacobs Payne.
She was retired from Rubatex Corporation.
She is survived by her son, Henry Clay Mitchell, Jr.; a daughter, Pamela Dooley; her grandchildren, John Hartman and Courtney Dooley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Updike Funeral Chapel Bedford by Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
