Obituary of Noreen Naomi Roberts Rice

Noreen Naomi Roberts Rice, 94 of Huddleston passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Heritage Green Assisted Living of Lynchburg. She was born November 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Ray Henry Roberts and Iva Nee Williams Roberts.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Robert Rice; her son, Ronald Rice; her brothers, Bill Roberts and Ray Roberts; her sisters, Sandy Roberts Fuchs and Viola Roberts Redshaw.  

She is survived by her sons, Richard Rice, Jim Rice, Raymond Rice, Russell Rice, and Frederick Rice; her daughters, Noreen Rice, Linda Wendell, and Sandy Soden; her sister Jane Roberts Rossiter; as well as 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Palestine Baptist Church, 9244 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, VA  24104, or a charity of your choice.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Patmos United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Janny officiating.  There will be no visitation.
