Oscar and I went to high school together. We had something else in common, we were born on the same day. Every year I have thought of him on our birthday. This year was no different, except that he was no longer with us. He was a wonderful, happy man who loved his children so much. I will always think of him on our birthday, until we meet again one day.

Oscar was a close friend and pal to Donald Wingfield. I'm sure that their reunion in heaven is creating a bit of noise and much laughter.
After we moved to Tennessee, Donald and Oscar kept in touch. Donald always made time for a visit with Oscar during our many

I worked at Carriage Hill Retirement, 3 to 11 shift for 5 years when it first opened as a LPN. Oscar was one of the owners. Very pleasant and nice to work for. I enjoyed my time spent there. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Blessings,

Big O was indeed a unique special character, a beloved member of the VMI Class of 1971. He and I shared many good times, most of which cannot be detailed in this memory. Unfortunately I will be in Maine and will not be able to say my final goodbye in person, but he will be in my thoughts. Peace has finally settled in for this dear friend and for that I am grateful. RIP BR. Miss you already.
