Obituary of Viola Allen Doehne

Viola Allen Doehne, age 84 of Thaxton passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 peacefully at her home.  
        
She was born January 4, 1940 in Emporia, VA, a daughter of the late John Randolph Allen and Lelia Doyle Allen. She was a member of Fountain Creek Baptist Church, Emporia.
  
Viola was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Ralph Frederic Doehne; her beautiful daughter, Anna Doehne Holland, her sisters, Ursla A. Jones & husband, Jack, and Barbara A. Tudor & husband, Tom.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Diana Doehne Abel & husband, Rick; her beloved granddaughter, Kacie Marie Holland; her dog, Bane, who was her constant companion and protector; her beloved brother, John R. Allen, Jr.; her favorite niece, Wanda R. Jones and other family members.

We'd like to thank her devoted caregivers for the loving care that they gave her over the years of illness.  Thanks to Laura Hueber, Janie Wilson, Anita Robertson, Caren Cochran, Kacie Holland and Lisa Rood.
