Obituary of Richard Wayne Tuck

Richard Wayne Tuck, 79 of  Bedford, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 at  Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born on Friday, November 17, 1944  in Roanoke, VA, a son of the late Lathan Herman Tuck and Etta Debo Patterson Tuck.  

He was owner & operator of Richard W. Tuck and Sons Lumber Company.  He also enjoyed hunting and loved to travel.  

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fielder Tuck of Bedford; sons, Michael Wayne Tuck, Richie Lee Tuck & wife, Cammie Weeks Tuck; daughter, Penny Tuck Berger & husband, William; grandchildren, Ryan Tuck, Tamra Tuck, Brandon Tuck, Travis Berger, Austin Berger; great-grandchildren, Rylee Tuck, Kingston Tuck; sister, Dorthy T. Payne; nephews, Dale Tuck, Kevin Payne, Landon Tuck.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
