Obituary of Thomas Autry West, Jr.

Thomas Autry West, Jr., 73 of Lynch Station, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at his residence.  He was born December 31, 1950 in Campbell County, a son of the late Thomas Attaway West, Sr. and Lucy McMinnis West.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie West and a sister, Sandra Dick.

He was a grave digger for many years following in his father’s footsteps when he was no longer able to.  He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy W. Tuck (Brian Keith); his grandchildren, Michael Wesley Farmer (Christina), Amber Dawn Marie Watkins, Amanda Lynn Wright (Jake); sisters, Maggie West, Dianne Kelly; brothers, Larry West, Phillip West; extended family & friends, Becky Kirby & Mikey Kirby.   

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston and a funeral Service will follow at 1 PM in the chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Leesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
