Obituary of Marilyn Faye Baker

Marilyn Faye Bobbitt Baker, 75 of  Montvale, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at  Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Sunday, May 29, 1949, a daughter of the late Samuel R. Bobbitt  and Lois  Adkins Bobbitt.  She was also preceded in death by  her grandson, Joseph David Maxey.  She was a retired Medical Secretary at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem. 

She is survived by her husband, Ray Allen Baker; daughters,Rhonda Jones (Robert), Melinda Dowdy (Donald), Michelle Guilliams; sons, Ronald Hall (Michelle) and Chad Baker;  a brother, Curtis Bobbitt; sisters, Rosalie Terry, Mary Hannabass (Marvin), Becky Roosen, her grandchildren, Stephanie Watkins (Zach),  Bud Foster (Carrie),  Ciara Jones, Alyssa Guilliams,  Mason Williams, Joshua Guilliams, Jacob Guilliams, Jerred Hall, Mckinleigh Williams, Mason Hall, Ivaleigh Baker; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Abigail, Mason, Jolene, Madison and one great-grandchild, Apollo.

Per her request, there will be no services at this time.   Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
