Alexander Wade Tuck, 27, of Thaxton, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. He was born on Saturday, June 14, 1997, to Phillip Wade Tuck and the late Wendy Sue Reynolds. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mickey Reynolds and paternal grandmother, Nancy Tuck.

He was employed by Steel Dynamics, Inc (SDI) of Roanoke as a diesel technician. He was described as a hard worker and loved his job. Alex loved spending time using his 3D printer.

He is survived by his dad, Phillip Wade Tuck (Jessica Wood); sisters, Hailey Branch & Charlee Rector; brother, AJ Tuck; his fiancé, Haley Fredericks; and he also considered Haley’s parent’s, Sheila & David Fredericks, as his bonus parent’s; paternal grandfather, Fred Tuck; maternal grandmother, Wanda Reynolds; cousin, Jacob Davis; special friends, Tom Shoop & Jacob Shazad; numerous other family & friends.

Alex was always willing to help others, and never met a stranger. He was smart and always could make people laugh. He loved his family, Haley and papa, Fred. He loved animals, especially his cat “possum”.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Danny Holdren officiating. Interment will follow in Peaks Church Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
