I taught with Matt for several years at William Byrd High School. He truly was loved by his students. He was so sweet and had a delightful sense of humor. I still remember the kind things that he said to me over fifteen years ago when I retired. He appreciated delicious food and raved over the pork barbecue that my late husband had prepared. I can still see Matt wearing his comfy Crocs. Such a sweet man.
I am sending my deepest condolences to his wife and children at this time and am praying to the God of All Comfort to be with you at this sad time.

I worked with Matt for many years at Liberty, and he always had a smile on his face. He was one of the few people who understood Seinfeld references. Each December, we wished each other happy festivus.
Matt is a loss for his family, friends, and to the students of Liberty High School. My heart aches for us all. Prayers for his wife and children.
