Obituary of Robert "Bob" Murray Phillips

Robert "Bob" Murray Phillips, 72 of Forest, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his home.  He was born on Sunday, June 22, 1952  in Bedford, a son of the late Robert Earl Phillips and Elizabeth "Betty" Harris Phillips.  

He was a retired Pharmacist having graduated from MCV and was  a member of Timberlake Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Angel Phillips; his son, Matthew Phillips & his wife, Kimberly; his daughter, Shannon Fairbanks & her husband, Bradly; his grandsons, Liam & Braden Fairbanks & Cole Phillips as well as his brother, Terry Phillips.  

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory to Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502 or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016-5337.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Timberlake Church with Pastor Brad McMullen officiating.  Visitation with the family will follow in the Family Life Center at the church.  

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
