Obituary of David Andrew Seay

David Andrew Seay, 46 of Moneta, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born November 15, 1978 in Bedford County, a son of Russell Seay and Trudy Bobbitt Seay of Moneta who survive.  He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Seay and maternal grandparents, David & Doris Bobbitt.

David was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation.

In addition to his father & mother, he is survived by his sons & the lights of his life, Rucker & Lucas Seay; his uncles, Dale Seay (Lenora), Kevin Seay (Tina); aunts, Teresa Zimmerman, Sheila Wells (Jeff); his paternal grandmother, Mildred Nichols as well as many cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Tyler Adkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Finch family cemetery on Raymond Street in Moneta.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 until 2 PM and 4 until 6 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford. 

The family requests that everyone wear jeans and/or camo since David loved hunting.
