Donnie Ray Lilley, 79 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1945, a son of the late Bruce Lilley and Mary Clark Lilley. He was also preceded in death by his son, Donnie Ray Lilley, Jr.

He was a retired machinist and was a hardworker and had a passion for cutting wood. He enjoyed flat footing and dancing. He was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church where he loved worshipping Jesus. Above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Nester Lilley; daughters, Jacqueline Lilley, Loretta Lilley; his grandchildren, Hannah Shae Lilley, Mary Elizabeth Lilley, Dillon Lilley, Travis Lilley, Landon Karnes; his great grandchildren, Grayson Michael Lilley, Briella Mae Andrews, Skylar Nicole Overstreet; sisters, Sue Walker, Connie Mamom as well as many nieces & nephews and special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Earl Ragland officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 7 from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
