Obituary of Bobby Kenneth Daniel

Bobby Kenneth Daniel, 83 of  Bedford, VA passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at home with his family.  He was born on Thursday, January 30, 1941 in Altavista, a son of the late Herbert Odell Daniel and Kathleen Fielder Daniel Falls.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Phillip Daniel and his step-father, Carl L. Falls. 

He loved working in his yard and garden, hunting, fishing and playing golf as long as he was able.  Bob also loved traveling with his wife, Brenda and dear friends, Raymond and Sue Totten.  His goal was to visit all 50 states, which he completed in 2018.  He retired from Appalachian Power with 38 years service.  He served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, completing his tour stationed in Hawaii.  He was a member of Morgans Baptist Church.   

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Ayers Daniel; his sons, Todd Daniel (Gina) of Bedford, Tad Daniel (Krista) of Hagerstown, MD; two granddaughters, Kacie Daniel and Karli Daniel, whom were the light of his life; a brother, Leslie E. "Pip" Falls (Sandra); two sisters, Karen Falls Witt (Bobby), Kathy Falls Johnson (Danny); sister-in-law, Emily Jones Daniel as well as several nieces & nephews. A very special thank you to his siblings, caregivers and his care team from Centra Hospice for the love and care that they provided to Bob.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 4110, Glen Allen, VA 23058.  

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Calvary Chapel at Smith Mountain Lake Cemetery (Staunton Baptist Church) with Rev. Buz Offenbacker & Rev. Melvin Harris officiating.  There will be no visitation.
