Obituary of Talmyr Dean Witt

Talmyr Dean Witt, 90 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born December 30, 1933 in Roanoke, a son of the late Allen Edward Witt and Pearl Virginia Myers Witt.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joy May Wilkerson Witt and a brother, Clay Witt.

He was a retired farmer and was a member of Laural Grove Church and Elks Lodge #2844.  He was also a U. S. Navy veteran having served on the Midway.

He is survived by his brother, Allen E. Witt, Jr., his nieces, Judy Witt, Dale Miller and Kathy Tinnell; his sister-in-law, Mary Bondurant.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11 AM with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
