Obituary of Cecil Kyle Whorley, Jr.

Cecil Kyle Whorley, Jr., 63 of Goode passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at his residence.  He was born May 8, 1961 in Bedford County, a son of Reva Poe Whorley of Goode who survives and the late Cecil Kyle Whorley, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Leanna McClure Whorley, his brother, Carlton Kent Whorley and brother-in-law, Lee Allen Fowler.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Brandon Whorley, Brent Whorley (Elizabeth) Jeremy Whorley; step-sons, Jeremiah Kirkland, Clifton Kirkland; sisters, Cecilia W. Fowler, Glenna W. Gilliland (David); brothers, Barry Whorley (Lynette), Glenn Whorley (Sheri); grandson, Elijah Rudy Whorley; granddaughter, Eleanor Mary Whorley; step-grandchildren, Clay, Easton, River & Baby Kirkland; his father & mother-in-law, Leon & Louanne McClure as well as a host of nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Norwood Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Stump officiating.
