Dorothy Mitchell Plymale, 85 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Campbell Rest Home. She was born on Sunday, January 24, 1926 in Campbell Co., VA, a daughter of the late John B. Mitchell and Gladys Martin Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walter Plymale; a daughter, Wanda Collins and brother, John B. Mitchell, II. She was a retired employee of Norfolk & Western Railroad and was a member of Staunton Baptist Church. Surviving is her son, Roger Plymale & wife, Helen of Winfield, WV and a daughter, Debra Kay Plymale of Huddleston. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Staunton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 15267 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, VA 24104. A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Staunton Baptist Church with Rev. John Reale officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
