Clarence Warren Craig, 81 of Bedford, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Thursday, January 23, 1930 in Bedford County, a son of the late Paschal Hopkins Craig and Luettie Jane Stevens Craig. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie W. Craig, Randy Eugene Craig and a daughter, Bonnie Dale Craig. He was retired from General Electric and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Barbara Jean "Bobbi" Gibbs Craig; a daughter, Deborah C. Massie & husband, Chip of Bedford; four grandchildren, Scott Craig Massie, Dorinda Dawn Massie, Jason Massie & wife, Veronica, D. J. Massie, four great grandchildren; a brother, Pack Craig of Bedford, three sisters, Mamie Newman, Eleanor Newman and Isabelle Johnson, all of Bedford. The family requests those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3234 Timber Ridge Road, Bedford, VA 24523. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Timber Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Phillip Kelley and Rev. Ray Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2 until 4 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
